REinFORCE / Lustica Tunnels / Post-military resources rethought
Placing Adriatic in the spotlight of our spring school we have looked at biodiversity, heritage, strategic positioning and fragile ecosystem of Adriatic while centering our main topic around post-military structures, specifically tunnels built along the Adriatic coast, in Montenegro in Luštica peninsula.
Our starting question is:
How can we address reuse of post-military structures from a more resilient and sustainable perspective – not only in terms of direct tools that deal with the environment and architectural heritage, but also on an economic and geopolitical level as well?
At the same time this is the topic of KIT Architektur studio led by Dijana Vučinić, with Anđela Brašanac and Ana Dobrašinović as assistants. KIT students came for an excursion and spring school to work together with students from Montenegro and Albania.
The program is supported through Creative Europe funding until 2025.
